Paris in Perspective – Pastor George in Athens

Paris, Islam, Europe, Israel
A few thoughts, by George E Markakis
Following the Islamic attacks of Friday 13 Nov. 2015 in Paris, I could not send the usual teaching ‘Message’ as if nothing had happened… I was contemplating whether I should even send a Message at all this week, when I felt the need to share a few thoughts from a prophetic perspective, related to the state of affairs in which our world has entered.

The Pope made a comment about the “3rd World War” in connection to the carnage in Paris; I agree with him… the 3rd World War has started, probably years ago – it is the intensity of the battles and the increase in bloodshed that has caused the “sleeping giant” of our generation to wake up!

The two photos below reveal the core of my prophetic perspective – which is the rising up and unification of the nations of the western civilisation against the aggression of Islam. The photos show events of solidarity towards Paris and the French people.

At the same time, they reveal a growing determination against the cause of Islam that has launched a major war against the entire western civilisation and what it stands for:

freedom and democratic values that allow people to live in a society of tolerance and acceptance of one another, with respect and honor of life and individual choice.

A statement of an American official reveals that the politicians are no longer willing to hide their faces in the sand, pretending that nothing is happening… “The Islamic terrorists are engaged in “an organized effort to destroy Western civilization” and the U.S. needs to take the lead against them. This is the war of our time”.

Islam has blatantly raised up its pride and arrogance, expressed in anger and violence, against the only form of society that allows freedom of choice and enforces respect of individual choice, honoring life and humanity.

In response, the nations of western civilisation are rising up to declare solidarity with one another, and determination to protect our way of life against the invasion of Islam and its cause of intolerance, violence, disrespect for humanity and women, forced religion, tyrannical rule, and worship of Death.

Photo above from Trafalgar square, London; below from Manhattan, New York.

The politicians of Europe have to a large degree betrayed the Continent, by selling it out to the agents of Islam, and making it possible for Islam to invade and take over. But the mounting pressure coming from the masses of people is causing a new generation of politicians to rise up, whose mandate will be to protect the European values from the blatant and determined assault of Islam that openly declares their goal to take over.

The very same, most powerful weapon of Islam, which is blind and angry aggression without regard to life and other values of humanity, is the means by which the sleeping European nations are forced to rise up and respond to the challenge.

Europe has been tolerant to the point that too many citizens have begun to realise that tolerance has certain limits… the end of tolerance is intolerance… the intolerance of Islam will not be tolerated, even by the most tolerant European values.

In the face of deadly aggression and determination of Islam to destroy the western civilisation, it is a good time to ask the question… why is Islam so enraged with the freedom and values of tolerance and respect of individual choice of the west?

What is this Islamic “jihad” all about?
And what are the spiritual forces that empower people
to form such a global army against the entire western alliance of nations?
The answer is in what is regarded as the “heart of the Qur’an”. That is a narrative that is inscribed on the dome of Al-Aqsa, the Islamic shrine on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem – one of the holiest places of Islamic worship, and the epicenter of the conflict in the Middle-East.

The narrative begins with ‘o people of the Book‘. thus addressing the people who believe in the Book (Bible). The following selective excerpts presented here, are not in the same order as in the inscription. Let it be clear that I am NOT endorsing the following statements; I am quoting them as reference.

“The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a Messenger of God … far be it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son.

It befitteth not (the Majesty of) God that He should take unto Himself a son.

Praise be to God, Who hath not taken unto Himself a son.

Muḥammad is the Messenger of God, the blessing of God be on him. May He accept his intercession on the Day of Judgment on behalf of his people.

Believe in God and His messengers, and say not ‘Three’ – Cease! It is better for you!”

The purpose of Islam is clearly stated in these words. It stands against what Christianity is all about! It stands against the divinity of Christ and His Sonship in God. It stands against His mediating, intercessory role before God, as well as against the Trinity, or Triunity of God in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

These excerpts are in essence the mission of Islam! When combined with the significance of the place where they are inscribed (below photo), the true nature and purpose of Islam is clearly stated: to oppose and refute Christianity!

That is the very purpose of Shariah Law which they want to impose upon the entire world; to stop the spread of the Message of the Gospel, and to forcefully eradicate Christianity from every nation. It is an anti-Christ agenda, enforced by the spiritual forces of Darkness and Death, which empower people who are blinded by religious zeal.

The agents of Islam understand very well that as long as there is freedom of choice and religious freedom in a society, Christianity will flourish and grow. They cannot stop the power of the Gospel from spreading; so their goal is to stop it altogether by using brutal force. The 3rd World War is not just merely a war of Islam against the western civilisation; the final goal is to put an end to the worship of Jesus!

On 19 Sept 2015 I was invited to speak at the All Nations Convocation in Jerusalem, by Tom Hess. With much regret I spoke from the platform that the nations of Europe would pay the cost of much bloodshed for their blinded tolerance and welcoming of Islam, along with their anti-Israel policy that enforces the Islamic agenda in the Middle-East.

With even more regret today I release an urgent call to prayer, repentance and intercession on behalf of Europe, as the blood-bath in Paris was only the beginning… the blood of many innocent people will continue to be shed all over Europe, until the “sleeping giant” of the western civilisation comes to terms with the inevitable reality…

Islam is a religion of Death that cannot be tolerated!

The issue in the Middle East is not that Israel is not an occupying force of Palestinian land, but that the Palestinian cause is a means to establish the Islamic agenda!

When the politicians of Europe will be forced to take drastic measures to stop the carnage that will continue to be caused by Islamic jihadists, they will need to publicly acknowledge the reality that everybody can see already.

In October 2009 I published a prophetic word for the decade 2010-2020, which I have called the decade of the Battle for Europe. I will close this Special Bulletin with a reminder of a key statement I made in that prophetic word.

The Battle for Europe, and the war between Islam and the western civilisation, will eventually serve the cause of the Kingdom of God; and that is, the nations of Europe will become the strongest ally of the state of Israel.

Transformation – Joel Austin

An effort to define a comprehensive approach to transformation must be “rooted in the theology of the mission of the Kingdom of God and seeks to express the Lordship of Jesus over every aspect of life, economic, religious, personal, and political. It does not give priority to any area of life as an area for mission . . . but this change will be effected whenever people address issues of life directly, rooted in a gospel perspective.”

Transformation is a concept rooted in the new Covenant (see John 4:14, Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 3:18, 5:17, and I John 3:9). The term itself derives from the Greek word “metamorphoo” which means to change from one degree of glory to another, with ever increasing glory. It is the spiritual equivalent of a caterpillar being metamorphosed into a butterfly.

As the head of the church, Christ initiates and His body— the church responds—as one body. The basic idea behind “transformation coordination” is that, not only can we do more together than we can separately, but we move to a new ministry realm that operates on entirely new laws of input and output.

Like the gushing forth of waters, the love of God through the people of God unleashes multiple mission initiatives in which divine resources are channeled through willing servants to meet human needs to the glory of God. A transformed world is a place where the power, the presence, and the peace of God are experienced by all. The power of God is unleashed. The peace of God rules. Shalom-Salaam embrace. The presence of God fills the earth.

Transformation is the progressive and ongoing measurable supernatural impact of the presence and power of God working in, through and apart from the church on human society and structures. In the church, this is characterized by increased holiness of life, reconciliation in relationships, and appetite for prayer and worship. In the culture, this may be characterized by pervasive awareness of the reality of God, a radical correction of social ills, a commensurate decrease in crime rates, supernatural blessing on local commerce, healing of the brokenhearted (the alienated and disenfranchised), and regenerative acts of restoring the productivity of the land.

To this end, a catalytic core of saints typically embrace a lifestyle of persistent repentance, humility, and sacrificial servant hood that attracts the favor and presence of God, and breaks the predominating influences of the ruling power structures of human flesh and negative spiritual forces.

Transformation involves seeking positive change in the whole of human life materially, socially and spiritually, by recovering our true identity as human beings created in the image of God and discovering our true vocation as productive stewards, faithfully caring for our world and people.

Transformation is the change from a condition of human existence contrary to God’s purposes to one in which people are able to enjoy fullness of life in harmony with God. According to the biblical view of human life, then, transformation is the change from a condition of human existence contrary to God’s purposes to one in which people are able to enjoy fullness of life in harmony with God (John 10:10, Col. 3:8-15, Eph. 4:13).

As Duane Litfin has observed, Christ’s church has often found it difficult to find and maintain a proper biblical balance between word and deed.5 At times the pendulum has swung toward words at the expense of deeds as the church has lost touch with its social conscience. At other times our concern for justice and mercy has led to a benign neglect of our verbal witness. But both of these extremes must be avoided. According to the Bible, the proclaimed Gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom. 1:16). This verbal witness is indispensable and nothing can replace it. on the other hand, our deeds constitute the crucial framework within which that verbal witness is heard. our deeds have the power to “adorn” (Titus 2:10) that Gospel or bring it into disrepute. As the Apostle John put it, “let us not love merely in word or talk but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:18). In Transform World 2020 we are committed to a biblically-based mission of transformation the Jesus Way, by word and deed.

Transformation is a reference to two points of time in a city’s history: where the city is now and where it once was. For a growing number of cities, the language that best describes the degree of societal change occurring between those two historic points is transformation. deep and profound change is possible in human beings and is equally possible for the social organisms that we call cities and communities.

A comprehensive movement to bless the nations includes many emphases. Transformational leadership engages a new generation in participatory leadership with current leadership. A transformed world is a place where the power, the presence, and the peace of God are experienced by all. The power of God is unleashed. The peace of God rules. Shalom-Salaam embrace. The presence of God fills the earth.
